5 Animal Frolic ... These exercises are FUN & HEALTHFUL ... come LAUGH & LEARN the famous 5 Animal Frolics (Crane, Deer, Bear, Monkey & Tiger), an exercise set created 1800 years ago by the famous Chinese doctor, Hua-Tuo. Session includes standing postures to develop powerful and flexible legs while cultivating light or heavy movements. Also, "moving meditation" or moving across the room while maintaining balance/centeredness, breath, and structural integrity. All will help you nourish and balance your Three Treasures--Vitality, Energy, and Spirit. Course is 24 1-hour classes. Beginners and up!

Tai Chi Forms Practice ... EXISTING STUDENTS: Continue YOUR practice of the forms you have learned and improve your skills while increasing your good health! Free your mind, enjoy low impact aerobics and de-stress your body while conditioning and strengthening for 1 hour twice weekly. Some of the forms include: 5 Centering Qigong, 8 Verses of Brocade Qigong, Beijing 24 Short Form, 12 Tao Yin, Wu Style Short Form, the Tai Chi Fan Form, and MORE! This is not an instructional class; it is instructor led and you may demonstrate knowledge of any of the forms to enroll. Session is 24 45-minute classes.
13 Broad Sword ... Broad Sword emphasizes the concepts of slowness, lightness, relaxation, calm, the use of intent and non-physical force, the sinking of chi to the dantien, suspend the head from above, concentration, harmonizing internal and external, etc. 24 1-hour classes. Pre-requisite: Tai Chi Fan form , 13 Yang Staff, or equivalent & instructor’s permission. Intermediate to advanced players. Training broadswords will be available for purchase or to borrow for the term of the class. 24 1-hour classes.

TOPEKA!!! Local events will be held on the Washburn University grounds near the corner of 21st St and Washburn Avenue known as the Washburn Terrace Area. Rain or shine we will have fun as Tai Chi players sharing our knowledge and demonstrating techniques for the public. Everyone is encouraged to participate and begin enjoying the benefits of practicing Tai Chi for themselves. Several instructor will be available and various open-hand and weapons forms will be demonstrated.
